RL2 Middle School Football Combines are elite and we work with the best middle school football players globally! Each participant will receive a free shirt, an official head-shot, official copy of their combine results, bio listed in our database, academic advising, nutritional information, sports safety information, NIL, and a presentation on life skills. All of these attributes mold the complete amateur athlete. A professional athlete will close out the day at each combine!
Athletes:
Middle School Level Football Players
Measurable Drills:
Height:
Measure each athlete’s height.
Weight:
Weigh each athlete.
40-yard dash:
Time each athlete at 40-yard intervals. The 40-yard dash is the marquee event at the combine.
Vertical jump:
Measure each athlete’s vertical jump height. The vertical jump is all about lower-body explosion and power. The athlete stands flat-footed on a jump pad and jumps as high as he can.
Broad jump:
Measure the distance of each athlete’s short-area quickness and burst. We will test each athlete’s lower-body explosion and lower-body strength. The athlete starts out with a balanced stance and then he explodes out as far as he can and lands with both feet on the ground without moving.
3 cone drill:
Measure an athlete’s ability to change directions at a high speed, by using three cones in an L-shape. He begins at the starting line, then runs 5 yards to the first cone and back. Then he turns, runs around the second cone, runs a weave around the third cone (which is the high point of the L), changes directions, comes back around the second cone, and then finishes.
5-10-5 shuttle run:
Measures an athlete’s agility, speed, lateral quickness and explosion in short areas. The short shuttle is known as the 5-10-5 drill. The athlete starts in the three-point stance, explodes out 5 yards to his right, touches the line, goes back 10 yards to his left, left hand touches the line, pivots, turns 5 more yards, and then finishes.
Power Ball Toss (2 kg):
Measure an athlete’s upper body coordination, strength and power.
